We have decided to stay as original as we can, so no fancy lowering job, no fancy interior, and no Air Conditioning, stock as much as possible. Well it turns out that there was a good reason why this truck had been parked for so long. After borrowing my brother-in-law's pressure washer we found a thumb size hole in the block just below the valve access panel. It really looks like they took this truck out mud dogging and romping on the engine for one last hoorah before they parked it, cause it has about 2 inches of mud and sludge caked under the hood and all over the frame.

My Dad and I have started a project Truck. I found this truck on craigslist.com for $800 .We are doing a frame off restoration. It was actually in pretty good shape for being parked since 1973. After getting the pickup to our shop in Amarillo we were able to do a little more inspecting of the damage done over the years from sitting outside so long.
